Pipe Major - Rich Cimino

Rich earned his Ph.D. at Rutgers University in Chemical Engineering in 2016.  He learned to play pipes through the band.

Pat Boyle

Pat learned to play through the band and has made guest appearances with the Manhattan College Pipe Band, where he serves of the Board of Trustees.

Kevin Boyle

Kevin learned to play through the band and is currently attending Kutztown University.

Tom Cangelosi

Tom learned to play through the band and is a Grade II solo competitor.  He is currently attending Monmouth College.

Todd Ferrie

Todd got his start through CuChullain in 1989.  He went on to compete with the Lehigh Valley PB (Grade IV), the St Columcille PB (Grade III), and the Kenmure PB (Grade II).  He has competed at the North American and World Pipe Band Championships on several occasions.

John Garrity

John learned to play through the band as an adult.  He helps arrange all of the band's music.

Steve Gruber

Steve learned to play through the band and is a Grade II solo competitor.  He finished first overall in the EUSPBA Grade III rankings for 2013 and is currently attending Monmouth College.

Michael Houston

 

Mike is a French teacher in Montclair, NJ.  He learned the pipes as an adult and has been with the band since 2015.

Diane Leighton

Diane is a former member of the West Milford HS band.

Ray Lewis

A former CúChullain Pipe Major, Ray hails from Cumbernauld, Scotland, and is a Grade III solo competitor.

AJ McCann - Pipe Major Emeritus

AJ is a former George Bell student who began his life-long pipe band career as a snare drummer with the Old Bridge Shillelagh Pipes & Drums.  He is also a former member of the Lehigh Valley Pipe Band.  AJ served as CuChullain's Pipe Major for several years.

Alexander McCann

Following in his father's footsteps (AJ McCann), Alexander, has been marching with the Band since he was 3 years old. He has been on the Pipes for 1.5 years. He is an accomplished pianist and plays trumpet, cello and clarinet. 

Mike Smith - Pipe Major Emeritus

Mike founded the band in 1977 and served as Pipe Major for many years.  He started piping with the St Columcille PB.

Drum Sergeant - Sean Sullivan

Sean joined the band as a child and went on to study music at Rutgers University.  He currently instructs and mentors several marching band drum corps.

Jim Cash

Jim has played snare in the band for much of his life.  He travels extensively for work but still finds time to play in a rock band and raise 5 children.

Leigh Ann Cash

Brendan Flanagan

Brendan joined the band in 2012 and currently attends Marquette University.  He is guesting with Celtic Nations Pipes & Drums of Mikwaukee.

Samara Gomez

Samara was pressed into tenor drumming service on the day of a competition, having had no prior pipe band experience.  She made an immediate impact, bringing extensive drum corps experience to the table.

Steve Ihlenburg

Steve is a snare drummer with marching band experience.  He quickly adapted to the pipe band drumming idiom.

Tom Madigan

Tom currently plays bass and tenor for the band, and is also a piping student.  He previously was a member of the Lia Fail PB.

Stephen Trainor

Although Steve had no prior pipe band experience, he quickly adapted his drumming talents.

Matthew McCann

After marching with the band since 3 years old Matthew is now taking lessons on the practice chanter. He also plays piano, saxophone and drums. His dream is to play a full set of bagpipes along side his father and brother.

Brendan Huggins

A native of Pennsylvania, Brendan joined the band in 2012 after relocating to New Jersey.

Randi George

Randi is a tenor drummer who joined the band's mid-section in 2012.  She began her career with the Celtic United Pipe Band of Pennsylvania.

Matt Byrne

Matt is the former Pipe Major of both the McGovern's Pipe Band and The Guard Pipes & Drums. 

Steve Murray

Steve learned to play through the band as a teenager.  He went on to become a founding member of The Guard Pipes & Drums.

09/18/16-The band competed at the AOH Feis and Irish Festival at Lido Beach, NY.  

 

03/01/15 - The band performed in the Belmar St Patricks Day Parade through driving snow!  That evening, the band performed live in concert with Gaelic Storm.
